This Cable's remote control only work on CELLPHONE DEVICE ,and cable's valume control has a IC chip in it , if the valume control doesn't work in the device, you just need to discharge the IC chip , these are 4 steps could Discharge the IC chip: 1.Insert the cable plug into the cellphone or device. 2.Turn on Music Program , and Don't play any music 3.Hold the Plug , turn left 7 round or more , then turn right 7 round or more （ this way is discharge the IC chip) 4.Pull Out the Plug , and Inesrt it into cellphone or device again. and now it should work . Everytime use the cable in different device , it must be discharge again.
