I formed and soldered the hoop jackets out of 14g tarnish resistant sterling silver (argentium). The little disc are 1/4 inch 14/20 gold filled. I soldered sterling silver post to the backs and gave them a brushed finish. The hoops are small at 5/8" round. These earrings can be worn several ways. 1. You can wear the little disc stud alone.2. You can wear the silver hoop behind your ear with the gold stud. 3. You can wear the hoop jacket in front of your ear with the gold stud 4. The hoops can also be worn with other different studs you may already have. 5. The hoops can also be attached to French ear wires you have for a dangled look. The hoops are little at around 5/8 inches round or 17mm. The gold filled studs 7mm round. They come with plastic ear guards, sterling friction backs and a plastic anti-tarnish storage bag. All handmade, ready to ship and boxed for gift giving. Since the hoops are handmade, each pair may be slightly different.Just as gold-plated jewelry is plated with gold, gold-filled jewelry is as well, but there is a big difference between the ways these products are made.
