Jumbo Djembes are Meinl’s bassiest sounding djembes. They’re made with a 100% all-weather synthetic head and body. The head is built into an extra-thick hoop that lets bass resonance develop (this gives you more “boom”). Our synthetic body material cuts down weight and is low hassle because it doesn’t react to changes in weather like wood djembes can. Includes tuning key to quickly adjust the drum head pitch. Available in 12” x 24” and 14” x 26” sizes. Perfect for drum circles, acoustic gigs, recording, and jamming outside. We offer a variety of head types (other head versions sold separately). White synthetic: high pitch open tone. Beige synthetic: low pitch muffled tone. Designer synthetic: low pitch muffled tone. The 14” beige and designer heads come with an adhesive muffling device on the underside. This djembe measures 14" W x 26" H and weighs 12.6 lbs; the head measures 14" across.
