In 1986, Haydel's originated the first tube type deer grunt call basing the sound on recordings of live deer by Wildlife Biologist Larry Richardson. To further achiece accuracy the DG-87 was then matched to Sonograms of live deer. Hunters using the DG-87, throughout the U.S. and Canada, have proclaimed outstanding results. In December of 1986, the DG-87 was responsible for calling in the largest Whitetail ever taken in Mexico. Wildelife Biologist, Dr. James Kroll, called in and harvested the largest Non-Typical in Texas for 1987. Many leading authorities, Biolodists and top sports writers agree that the DG-87 is the most true to life Deer Call.
