Joel has been helping clients start and run gig economy businesses for over 25 years. Before You Leap is Joel's second book. His first book, Here's the Deal: Everything You Wish a Lawyer Would Tell You About Buying a Small Business, was published in 2017, and is used as a text for a class about entrepreneurship-through-acquisition at the University of Illinois Gies College of Business.
