This color is VEGETABLE TANNED leather – a leather where natural materials such as tree bark and plant extracts are used during the tanning process, making this the purest form of tanned leather.
"[FIND YOUR SANDGRENS SIZE] Unsure about your Sandgrens size? Don't worry, we'll help you. Please follow the steps below: 1. Stand up straight on a solid surface with your heels against the wall and a piece of blank paper taped to the floor. 2. Measure both feet from your heel to the tip of your longest toe to ensure proper fit. Take the longest measurement and ADD 1/16 of an inch (0.2 cm) or more if additional comfort is needed. 3. Compare your measurement against the sizing chart. Note: The chart shows the actual base measurement of the foot bed. [CARING FOR YOUR CLOGS: VEGETABLE TANNED LEATHER] Vegetable tanned leather does not contain synthetic coatings and since natural materials such as tree bark are used during the tanning process. Initially you may find the leather to be more rigid than our other leather types, but rest assured it will break in. There might be scars and marks on your vegetable tanned leather, which is the result of leather being a living material. Vegetable tanned leather clogs (other than the nude color) can be polished with shoe polish or cleaned with any common shoe cleaner. [CARING FOR YOUR CLOGS: NUBUCK LEATHER] Nubuck is naturally sensitive to water. This means they should not be your companion next time you are out in the rain. Moreover, do not apply shoe polish to your clogs. Instead, we recommend using a horsehair brush regularly to avoid any dirt turning into a permanent stain. [CARING FOR YOUR CLOGS: WOODEN BASE] Do not wear your wooden base clogs in heavy rain, as it may result in the wood swelling. Wood clogs are rigid and will therefore not stretch or bend. Although rigid, wood is a fragile material that is subject to chips and/or cracks from striking hard surfaces. If you do chip your wood base, you can glue the piece back using regular wood glue or use sandpaper to even out the surface, depending on the size of the chip. Sandpaper can also help remove marks and dirt from the wood."
