This patch is uneven fabric fold and sew on, displays the Operational Camouflage Pattern (OCP) previously referred to as “Scorpion W2”. Army Sergeant, an E-5, leads soldiers directly and leads teams and section. Army Sergeants are represented by three chevrons. E-5 is the first at which enlisted soldiers are referred to as sergeant, and of all the grades of the NCO, this one, very possibly, has the greatest impact on the lower ranking soldiers.
