The Nike Air Max 95 “Neon 2020” is a special release of the original colorway of the iconic mid-90s performance runner that celebrates the model’s 25-year anniversary
The Air Max 95 is undoubtedly one of the most beloved Air Maxes of all-time, and has been praised by rappers, runners, and everyone in between for its stylish design and superior comfort since its original release all the way back in 1995
The “Neon” colorway effectively kicked off the performance-runners-in-loud-colors concept, as well
The 2020 version of the Air Max 95 “Neon” features many true-to-original design details, including white mesh around the eyelets and a gradient light-to-dark grey suede design on either side
Neon accenting can be found on the Swoosh embroidery on the heel, on the split “Air Max” branding on the tongue, and inside of the visible Air unit in the heel of the black rubber midsole
The Kim Jones x Nike Air Max 95 “Total Orange” is a limited edition collaboration between the high fashion designer and Nike on the retro running shoe. Initially teased by the Creative Director of Dior Homme in June 2020, the “Total Orange” colorway was finally released by Nike in March 2021, roughly a year following the debut of the Jones-designed, insanely rare Dior x Air Jordan 1. According to Jones, the ethos behind his Air Max 95 is that the shoe celebrates his “love of Nike Air Max, and how the shoe could feature modern technology.” A combination of dots and dashes can be found printed on the upper’s wavy suede panels. An embroidered black Swoosh logo resides on the lateral side of the heel above Kim Jones branding. Orange hi-vis nylon eyelets appear beneath a dark mesh material on the eyelets. A split “Air Max” logo is embroidered on the top of the black nylon tongue and a reflective silver mudguard shines when exposed to light in the dark. Underfoot, Total Orange-tinted Air units in the forefoot and heel of the white midsole complete the look. Release date: March 19, 2021.
