About Keds Trio Platform Iridescent Multi Women Black
Meet the Trio sandal, Keds most eco-friendly shoe. Being fairly new to the sandal space, we had the unique opportunity to create our dream sandal from scratch. So, naturally, we aimed high. The musts: walkable (specifically for nature walks and long bike rides), versatile (the kind of style you reach for when you can only bring one pair), and better for the earth (this was non-negotiable). Deciding on the strappy silhouette was the easy part, it checks the boxes on walkability and versatility in one on-trend, sporty-chic package. The next step was ensuring it was eco-friendly—from sole to strap. For the bottoms, we used 20% recycled rubber in the outsoles and 20% BLOOM™ foam (a special foam made from algae that’s been harvested in order to restore and clean major water sources) for the cushiony midsole and footbed. The straps are made from recycled polyester webbing and lined with a TENCEL™ Lyocell and polyester blend.
