"Inspired by the American pilot watches of the 50's, this watch was designed directly in collaboration with USAF Korean War pilots. We've developed the A-2 Origin as a brand new collection with a truly vintage look ready for the modern era. The A-2 Origin Leather NATO comes with a unique nylon NATO strap. This design choice is meant to reference the appearance of single piece Nylon or Canvas straps on US military-spec watches. Indeed, WW2 had highlighted the need for a more durable strap design than the traditional ""two-piece"" strap. With the development of mil-spec watches such as the Hamilton 747 & the A-17 spec the one-piece NATO style strap appeared in USAF cockpits over Korea. Our A-2 Origin is fitted with a Swiss Quartz Ronda 763, for set & forget timekeeping and great reliability. We're using a Sapphire Coated K1 Crystal for added ruggedness & scratch protection. As is standard, all A-2 Origins are assembled & quality checked in the USA. "
