About Kimberly-Clark KleenGuard A20 Microforce Barrier

The Kleenguard A20 Microforce Barrier SMS fabric breathable particle protection coverall is a disposable single-piece protective garment made of a spunbond nonwoven fabric to help protect against a variety of non-hazardous particles. This coverall features elastic cuffs for a tight fit at the wrists and ankles, and a front zipper to facilitate donning. The seams are serged for reinforcement and fray resistance, and a zipper flap reduces risk of exposure through the closed zipper. The coverall material meets National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 99: Health Care Facilities Code criteria for antistatic materials. The coverall is tailored to provide 12 percent more chest room and 6 percent longer body length than the ANSI/ISEA (American National Standards Institute/International Safety Equipment Association) 101-1996 standard size dimensions. This disposable protective clothing is suitable for a variety of industrial environments. Specifications Physical Properties Test Method Results Water resistance AATCC 127-1998 72.8 cm Air permeability ASTM D737 41.8 cubic feet per minute (CFM) Moisture vapor transport rate ASTM E96 4,639 grams of water vapor per square meter of fabric per 24 hour period (g/m2/24 hr) Tensile strength ASTM D5034 MD: 26.4 lb.CD: 17.2 lb. Elongation strength ASTM D5034 MD: 45%CD: 56.7% Mullen burst ISO 13938-1 36.4 psi Some strength properties are measured in two ways: machine direction (MD) and cross direction (CD). Nonwoven materials are created in a directional process within a fabricator, and will exhibit different properties when stress is applied in different directions. Coveralls, also known as boilersuits, are single-piece protective garments with full length legs and sleeves. Coveralls come in a range of protection levels, from light-duty suits worn over street clothes to keep them clean while working, to heavy-duty hazmat suits that protect the wearer from toxic liquids, gases, and airborne particles. Less protective suits are made of breathable fabric, and can weigh less and feel less restrictive than heavy-duty suits. More protective suits are made of fabrics impervious to gases and water vapor, and include hoods, attached boot covers, taped seams, all features which can lead to discomfort or heat stress if worn for extended periods. Protective coveralls are commonly used in applications such as paint spraying, mold remediation, environmental cleanup, and fiberglass installation. Kimberly-Clark manufactures products for personal and health care, industrial, and laboratory applications under the brands Kleenex, Scott, WypAll, Kimtech, and Kleenguard, among others. The company, founded in 1870, is headquartered in Dallas, TX.
