The Powder River 4X buffalo fur felt hat is a great hat from the Buffalo Collection by Stetson Hats. This hat is a fine display of the quality craftsmanship that you have know and trust from the name Stetson. The buffalo fur is a great material because of its durability and ability to resist water, but it is still a soft fur blend. This hat features a leather hair-on band with a the gold Stetson name and buffalo figurine. As in the beaver fur felt hats, the X's in the style of the hat determine the quality of the hat. The exact percentages of the fur blends are known only to Stetson, as it is the key secret that keeps Stetson the leading manufacturer of headwear. Care for your hat: Use a soft brush, starting at the left side of the hat, and brush it counterclockwise toward the back of the hat and around again. If your hat gets wet, simply shake off the excess water. If it's a fur felt, you need to turn down the "self-conforming" leather sweatband and stand the hat on the sweatband so it can dry naturally. Never rest your hat on its brim as this could cause it to lose its shape. Store your hat upside down, on its crown, on a clean surface or in a box.
