About Thule Stir Alpine 40L Hiking Backpack
The Thule Stir Alpine 40L Hiking Backpack is built for next-level backcountry adventures. Thoughtfully designed with all of the features you need to keep your gear - both big and small - organized and accessible. Made with a coated 70D nylon fabric, it is supremely weather- and abrasion-resistant, yet it weighs in at an impressively lightweight 2.8 lb. When gearing up for an outing that requires minimum weight, you can remove components of the backpack (lid, frame sheet, hip belt padding and sternum strap) to lighten the load by 1.1 lb, for a total pack weight of 1.7 lb. A variety of externally placed fixed loops and adjustable straps are carrying skis, ice axes, trad and sport climbing gear and more, making this backpack a year-round adventure staple. The wide opening allows you to load contents to maximize the space inside, while the side zipper gives you easy access to the middle and bottom of the pack, so you can reach reach what you need at all times. Under the lid, a compression strap is placed to hold items like a coiled climbing rope, jacket, or other soft gear; when the lid is removed, the backpack contents are protected by a storm flap. With features like hydration reservoir compatibility and a shoulder strap snack pocket, the Thule Stir Alpine allows you to get out further and stay out longer.
