Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal Badge Silver Oxide finish
Official issue, AR 670-1 Approved for Wear on Army Service Uniform
1.75-inch height. 2 pin back
100% USA Made
Introduced originally in July of 1957, this badge is awarded permanently to Army personnel who hold MOS 55D (enlisted) or 91E (officer), completed appropriate instruction, and demonstrate satisfactory performance for 18 months. This badge bears a laurel wreath containing 4 striking lightning bolts that protrude from the drop bomb shield insignia approved in 1942 for the Bomb Disposal School. The downward-pointing bomb emblem signifies a live bomb and the shield represents the EOD core principle of safely disposing of live ordnances.
