About The Complete Works Of Eusebius Of Caesarea

Eusebius was born around the year 260 AD. He grew up in the city of Caesarea, which was a city of Christian education. He studied under one of the great masters, Pamphilus, who was a student of Origen. As a result Eusebius is often called Eusebius Pamphilus. He started the defining work of his life, 'Ecclesiastical History', some time before the year 300. The work chronicles the history of the Christian church from the time of Christ until his day. It is the first work of its kind, and it provides an invaluable look at the important people and events in the early Christian church.Later Eusebius was made a priest, and then Bishop, of Caesarea in 313. He maintained contacts throughout the Roman empireand would become a personal friend of emperor Constantine. This would lead him to write 'Life of Constantine', and his two Orations. The following books are included in this collection:1. Church History2. Life of Constantine3. Oration of Constantine 'to the Assembly of the Saints'4. Oration in Praise of Constantine5. Letter on the Council of NicaeaThese writings have been cataloged in an organized fashion to make it easy to reference with the Kindle format.
