Whatman Grade 470 filters are thick, absorbent, smooth-surfaced cotton linter papers for filtration of gelatinous precipitates and oils. Extensively used in clinical labs as an absorbent pad for culture media, or as blotting and wicking paper. Also excellent for electrophoresis and ascending chromatography of amino acids.
