Cats with chronic kidney disease (CKD) have particular nutritional needs. Most importantly, they need to eat foods with as low a phosphorus content as possible. Special therapeutic kidney diets are widely available, but not every CKD cat will eat these foods; and it is essential that a CKD cat eats.
