About Steelcase Front-to-Back File Bar

Product description PURPOSE: Parts used to restore Steelcase series lateral file cabinets so they can use green hanging folders for filing. > FUNCTION: These are the steel rails that the green hanging folders hang on to create a front-to-back filing system. > CABINET MODEL: Fits Steelcase 800 and 900 series lateral file cabinets with 12" high drawers. NOTE: does not work in "flipper door" drawers or any drawer that has a "retractable door with a pull out shelf". See the section below called "DIMENSIONS" to determine the correct size. FEATURES: A replica of the original file rail with dimensions & specifications that meet or exceed the Steelcase design (SC model 800RW, P/N 25-8425576). The bars will not twist or bend under a full cabinet load of paper as it will with other generic "knock-off" brands. Our parts fit and perform with the full functionality and durability of the original factory part - we guarantee it! PHOTOS: The photographs shown are the actual parts we manufacture, so "what you see is what you get". Some sellers use old catalogue photos as identification or for discussion purposes only. Upon ordering they'll typically send you something completely different and often inferior. Buyer beware. MATERIALS: Heavy-duty 16 gauge (1/16") thick galvanized steel. Quality made in the USA using USA materials and made to last. DIMENSIONS: To verify size see the drawing labeled "slot-to-slot dimension". This dimension should match your file cabinet measurements taken at the points where the file rail contacts the drawer. INSTALLING: Just as in the original design, simply choose the location of your file row, place the file rail onto the drawer wall front and rear edges and snap into place. Now, install your green hanging folders and begin filing!
