Brand New Steering Rag Joint (SWS Part # 105-9703). These are brand new parts produced by Southwest Speed. It is always a good idea to replace the rag joint when doing any work on the steering system. Rag joints provide a small amount of flex for a steering shaft within a few degrees of the same plane as the steering gear input shaft. They also provide some damping of vibration coming from the steering system, providing some isolation for the steering wheel. These joints will wear over time, so replacing them is an inexpensive way to refresh the steering system. Features: This includes both sides of the rag joint, not just one half. Steering Shaft Side: 1" DD (Double D) Steering Box Side: 13/16"-36 spline Fits: Most 1977 and older GM 800 power steering boxes*** Many Chrysler manual and power steering boxes and rack and pinions*** As well as numerous other applications ***Make sure to count your splines to verify which shaft your steering box has.
