Our filter pads are available in a number of porosities for filtering wine and beer. They retain impurities mechanically as well as by adsorptive processes. Specially upgraded cellulose fibers are used with additions of fine grades of diatomaceous earth, perlites and resins. These filters are classified by nominal porosity ratings.7.0 micron pads are recommended for rough filtration, removing yeast and most larger particles.2.0 micron pads are recommended for higher clarity polishing of clear wines, or bright beer filtration of beer.0.5 micron pads are recommended for sterile bottling filtration of wine or beer. Filter pads measure 20 cm x 20 cm square. They are sold in packs of 25 pads, and in cases of 100.
