Although fir trees have become synonymous with christmas, fir needleÌs aroma is a magical addition throughout the year. Many cultures of named fir trees as the forest healer because of its curative properties. The woody and fresh aroma can be deeply inhaled to help relieve respiratory issues like congestion. Many outdoorsy fragrances and herbal soaps include fir needle. It can also bring relief to achy muscles and joints. Derived from the needles of the evergreen tree, fir needle essential oil is extracted through a steam distillation process. It pairs amazingly well with other outdoor aromas like lavender, spruce and rosemary. Safety: Although fir needle is nontoxic, non-irritant and non-sensitizing, it may cause irritation to the eyes and should be thoroughly diluted. Avoid use during pregnancy.
