ROTOSOUND RS886LD is an electric base string for 6 strings of 810mm to 860mm (32 to 34 inches) long scale. Specifically designed in 1962 with flat-wound black nylon ribbon to replicate upright-based melrow sound, the patented RotoSound Tru Bass string has been accepted by players of all styles. The Tru Bass string was originally designed by James Howe to fit the Barns Black Bison base. It may be the closest to the contrast tone produced from an electric base.
