Portable Aviation Intercom for General Aviation Headset This SWPA-01 intercom is a portable design that has been successful in the general aviation field. It is a 2 place voice activated mono intercom with a modular design that combines pilot-passenger hands free communication, radio transmission, battery power or auxiliary power, and input and output functions all in one! The SWPA-01 intercom is compatible with all standard aircraft headsets. Technical Specifications ◆Power: 6 * 1.5V AAA Batteries, Auxiliary Power Cord (11-34 VDC) ◆Size: 4” x 2.9” x 2.2” ◆Current Drain: max current drain 0.08 amps ◆Headset Interface: PJ-055 ◆Microphone Interface: PJ-068 Features ◆Completely Portable ◆Off/On Power ◆2-Place Capability ◆Communication Protection: even with the intercom is "off", the pilot can hear all radio communications and can transmit through the aircraft radio using the headset microphone. The mic is connected directly to the radio via an "ON-OFF" switch. The communication protection function also works if the battery runs out of power during the flight. ◆Superior SQL Circuitry : the sensitivity of the squelch is controlled by turning the control clockwise (to increase mic sensitivity) or counterclockwise (to decrease mic sensitivity). Squelch can be adjusted to meet the most extreme aircraft noise levels. Properly set squelch allows the intercom to be active only when someone is speaking into the headset microphone.
