The new patent pending design is the next generation of Gator-Jaw synthetic shackles and boasts an increase of over 50% more breaking strength than the original Gator-Jaw synthetic shackle. The Gator-Jaw PRO series is like the original Gator-Jaw incorporating a self-tightening loop that slips over a specially designed knot making a stronger closed connector. All Gator-Jaw synthetic shackles are used as an alternative to heavy steel shackles or hooks for a lighter, safer, and easier connections. Gator-Jaw synthetic shackles are used both recreationally and commercially for towing, vehicle or equipment recovery and various marine uses. Gator-Jaw synthetic shackles derive their basic strength from the utilization of Plasma rope. Plasma rope is the highest strength synthetic rope available. The new 7/16” Gator-Jaw PRO series synthetic shackle weighs only 6.5 ounces yet has a rated breaking strength of 52,300 lbs. Because all Gator-Jaw synthetic shackles contain no steel they won’t rust and are so light they float. “We are very excited about this new Gator-Jaw PRO Series,” said Jim Grass, Bubba Rope’s New Product Manager. “Besides off-road use we are seeing our larger diameter synthetic shackles replacing heavy steel hooks and shackles making it safer for workers in industrial environments as well.” Grass went on to list other benefits of this new product including: higher tensile strength than steel, flexible enough to wrap around almost any pulling point, and one piece construction so there is no fumbling with screwing in a steel pin like you would on a steel shackle. “We didn’t invent the soft shackle we just took it to another level,” said Grass
