Hot Shot’s Secret Diesel Winter Anti-Gel is a premium cold-weather diesel fuel additive that is formulated to greatly improve cold weather operability and protect against freeze-ups and plugged fuel filters. Cold temperatures present multiple issues for diesel owners. At lower temperatures, diesel fuel does not want to ignite causing cold starting problems, rough running engines and excessive black smoke. Diesel Fuel also contains wax molecules that thicken in cold weather, clogging fuel lines and filters. Plugged filters cause the engine to be starved of fuel and it will not operate. Diesel Winter Anti-Gel prevents this wax from clogging fuel lines and filters by using wax modifiers and wax anti-settling agents to keep the wax particles small and suspended. It also contains a military grade water dispersant and is scientifically proven to: Lower diesel fuel’s pour point to -65 °F Prevent fuel line freeze-ups down to -40 °F Boost cetane up to 5 points Improve cold starts
