Find the right wheel lock key for your Volkswagen by looking at the lock carefully and matching the SHAPE (pointy or square) and NUMBER of the teeth.
If your lock has pointy teeth (star-like pattern), choose between keys ABC0-ABC9 (count the teeth carefully — it helps to take a picture).
If your lock has square teeth (flattened off at the ends), choose between keys #51-#62 (count carefully).
Flip between the different style keys listed here to make sure you order the exact one you need.
Keep an extra key in your car for emergencies! We recommend storing one in the trunk near the spare tire and one in the glovebox or center console. Own a shop? Consider buying the sets.
Wheel locks are great to keep thieves away from your wheels, but can be a huge hassle when your key goes missing. Fortunately, Tekkey wheel locks will get you back on the road in no time! To determine if this key fits your wheel lock, simply remove the cap on your lug nuts, find the lug nut that has an intricate pattern (the locking lug nut/wheel lock), and then determine the SHAPE and NUMBER of teeth. The two varieties of teeth are either POINTED like a star or the ends are SQUARED/flattened off. Taking a picture makes it much easier and more convenient to count the teeth and confirm the shape. IMPORTANT: Keep in mind that these VW wheel locks come in multiple variations - you have to look at your specific lock to determine which one will work for you . Please double check the shape and count the splines very carefully before placing your order. Mechanics very often forget to put these back after rotating/balancing tires or working on brakes, and you may only notice months later after you get a flat, leaving you in a bad situation. Order two, and keep a spare in a separate location in your car to avoid this problem in the future! We recommend against using power tools or air tools, as these can damage the lock and/or the key.
