Sodium Nitrate, 99% Minimum Purity, Prilled (Small Pellets) by Duda Energy. Sodium nitrate is the chemical compound with the formula NaNO. This salt, also known as "Chile saltpeter," is a white solid which is very soluble in water. Sodium nitrate is used as an ingredient in fertilizers and solid rocket propellants, as well as in glass and pottery enamels; the compound has been mined extensively for those purposes. Sodium nitrate is commonly used in gold refining for making aqua regia which is used for recovery of gold, platinum and other precious metals. Industrial / Technical grade is more than safe for use as a fertilizer.
