Viticulture Notes: We selected a large portion of the fruit for our Cabernet Sauvignon from premier vineyards in Lodi, a leading California winegrowing region for over 150 years. The Mediterranean climate in Lodi creates warm days and cool nights, ideal conditions for growing intensely ripe grapes with great natural acidity and fruit-forward characteristics. In Lodi, the 2014 vintage was earlier than usual with lighter yields and smaller clusters than the past few years. Lodi's signature warm temperatures and cooling breezes from Pacific Ocean and the San Francisco Bay led to concentrated fruit with ripe, juicy dark fruit flavors.
