This filter is designed to fit Kenmore uprights using a HEPA filter (86889). Kenmore uprights are actually manufactured by Panasonic for Sears, so this filter will fit all Panasonic uprights using a HEPA filter also. This HEPA filter is imperative for homes with allergies are breathing issues. The acronym HEPA stands for \"High Efficiency Particulate Air\".
