From the BMC Toys CLASSIC TOY SOLDIER COLLECTORS SERIES, a major battle that set the stage for the end of the American Civil War: The BATTLE OF ATLANTA 71 piece plastic army men playset contains 15 powder-blue Union troops in 10 different poses and 16 charcoal-gray Southern forces in 10 poses. Three cannon feature 3 different black barrels that elevate with dark-brown carriages and charcoal-gray wheels. Terrain pieces include brown ruined mansion facade, redoubt, and 4 Cheval de frise spike barriers. Other accessories are 3 leafy green trees, 2 coal-black bare trees, 4 charcoal-gray stone walls, 6 tan sandbags, 12 off-white rustic rail fence sections, 2 brown rocks, and 2 flags. All pieces are approximately 1:32 scale. Figures stand up to 2.34 inches tall and are made from fairly soft LDPE plastic with medium detail and a little flashing. Accessories are made from slightly to very stiff plastic. Most of these soldier figures, vehicles and accessories were initially offered to hobby collectors by Classic Toy Soldiers Company in the late1990s and early 2000s. Classic Toy Soldiers Co. worked with BMC Toys to make them available to today's youngsters. BMC Toys was founded by Bill McMaster in 1991 and specializes in producing historically accurate plastic army men figures and playsets in the classic realistic style of the 1950s and 1960s. Instructions: With adult supervision, dip any bent part in hot water, then cold water to straighten. These miniature figures are a perfect addition to any American Civil War playset or school project diorama. Packaged in a full color box featuring a history of the battle story.
