The oil pressure gauge readings assist to diagnose if there are following problems: blocking oil strainer or oil filter, broken pressure-limiting valve spring, poorly working oil pump, low/high oil viscosity, blocking lubrication oil channel, blocking oil filter core and by-pass valve is difficult to open etc.

Easy to Test Engine Oil Pressure: Remove low oil pressure switch, attach the oil pressure test with appropriate adapter, start engine to read the pressure on the gauge. Verify vehicle oil pressure is normal or not against manufacturer's recommended readings. Turn off the engine and remove the oil pressure tester, replace the low oil pressure switch, then done.
