This is a brand new, high quality K-type thermometer DT1311 for temperature measurements. It has one input for K-type thermocouples and can display the full K-type thermocouple measurement range, from - 328 F to 2498 degree Fahrenheit (or -200 degree C to 1370 degree Celsius). We have combined the thermometer with our durable High Temperature Ceramic K-type Thermocouple CR-2 in 18.5 inch length. This k-type thermocouple is designed for very high temperature readings in metal working and ceramics. It can be used in forges, smelters, crucibles, furnaces, ovens and kilns. It also can be used in industrial ovens and furnace applications. We have designed this on request of some of our blacksmith customers, who wanted an extra long sensor for their forge, but it also will work in crucible, kiln and furnace, burner and high temperature oven applications. The ceramic insulators are 1 inch long, so this K-type thermocouple can be shortened to your exact length requirement. The insulators are oval with a maximum diameter of about 1/2 inch, they can be easily inserted in a slightly oversized 1/2 inch hole through fire brick or insulation. It comes with a ceramic connector plate and 5 ft long k-type connector cable CR-4 with fiberglass insulation and miniature k-type thermocouple connector. 4 batteries AAA, an additional green wire thermocouple for use up to 400 degree F and a storage box for the meter are included. This can be used with our 7" long ceramic protection tube CR-03 (search amazon item B06XKK7ZPQ) or 10" long ceramic protection tube CR-3-10 (search item B07XFTFJ7V). Note: if you press the 0.1 button it displays a decimal and the range is up to 999.9 degree. To measure over 1000 degrees, press the 1 button and it will switch off the decimal and give you the full upper range.
