Built for loud, clear vocal performance in tight, compact spaces, PRV AUDIO 6MR500-NDY neodymium-powered midrange features a sensitivity of 96 dB (2.83V/1m) and weighs about 3 pounds! The 6MR500-NDY, from PRV Audio, is made to be a class-leading midrange woofer in the pro audio realm, as well as high output Bike and Car audio, thanks to high-power neodymium radial slugs that immerse the voice coil in a strong magnetic field. Not only does the unique motor design keep the mounting depth at less than 3" (great for car doors), it provides superior speaker control for reduced distortion. Also, a copper sleeve is included on the pole piece which reduces inductance to improve the high frequency response. With a usable, extended frequency response from 90 to 13,000 Hz, this midrange also works great as a high output, full-range satellite speaker. A bumped backplate, vented pole piece, vented magnet assembly, Kapton® former, open cast-aluminum frame, and treated-cloth surround allow for high power handling, while protecting this driver from extreme transient power peaks.
