About Monoprice DMX-512 Splitter - 6 Channel, Daisy-Chain
A typical DMX daisy-chain is limited to 32 devices, but what if you want to use more than 32 fixtures? Enter this 6-way DMX Distributor, which features six optoelectronically isolated DMX outputs, each of which can handle 32 devices for a total of 192 fixtures. Additionally, this Distributor features a pass-through LINK OUT connector, which allows you to connect another DMX Distributor to add another 192 fixtures to the universe. You can daisy chain up to 32 Distributors for a theoretical maximum of 6,144 fixtures per universe! Each output uses an independent driver and is optoelectronically isolated from the other outputs. This ensures that if a fault occurs on one line, it will not migrate to or otherwise affect the other lines. While any daisy chain connected to the Distributor requires a DMX terminator at the end of the chain, the Distributor automatically terminates any unused lines.
