Concrete Coatings VIVID Acid Stain creates an aged, mottled, and antiqued color and will preserve your concrete surface after drying. You'll love the endless number of distinct looks you can achieve by adding beauty to concrete. It is suitable for residential application, but it is also durable enough for commercial application. It reduces surface-glare on walkways, driveways, patios, and entrances. APPLICATION The first step is to ensure that the concrete surface is clean, in good condition, and has cured to a uniform, light color. Then, using a sprayer, evenly and continuously apply the stain to the surface in a circular motion. As the stain combines with the concrete, it will foam for a few seconds. Continue to expand the area slightly to the outer edges as the foaming occurs. Always use fresh material when staining the unstained surface, working well back into the completed area to avoid lap marks. Keep a wet edge throughout the operation. IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER -We recommend testing the stain in a small area to ensure you are satisfied with the color stain. -Allow the stain to dry before removing residue. -The color produced from VIVID acid stain will rely heavily on skill, practice, and experimentation. -VIVID Acid Stains may not be effective in older or weathered concrete or concrete subject to runoff or dripping water. Heavily sandblasted concrete may have little or no chemical reaction.
