SPP6 Hard Start Capacitor for AC Compressor and Features

  • Designed Specifically for HVAC: This AC hard start kit is designed specifically for use with PSCtype HVAC compressors and provides great motor which increase starting torque by 300% to 500% by just using a run capacitor

  • More Economical & Powerful: Our model SPP6 hard start capacitor for AC is rated for Voltage 90-277 VAC with applications of 1/2 to 3 horsepower

  • Greater Product Life: impact of increased power during startup generates more heat in the windings of the compressor which starts the compressor up to 50% faster with Its less stress and increased life expectancy

  • Easy Installation: This hard start capacitor kit features easy 2 wire installation for any singlephase AC compressor with an advanced positive temperature coefficient (PTC) relay

  • More Economical: It minimizes the rush in current period during start up and help save energy and lower monthly bills by reducing start time as much as 50%!

About SPP6 Hard Start Capacitor For AC Compressor And

The SPP6 hard start kit positive temperature coefficient (PTC) relay and start capacitor SPP series provides numerous benefits as an ac capacitor. The easy two-wire installation method for this HVAC compressor hard start relay provides tremendous home improvement benefits for your HVAC system. Most single-phase air conditioners and heat pumps use non-bleed thermostatic expansion valves (TXVs) to control refrigerants. A problem with TXVs occurs when a reciprocating compressor shuts off, and refrigerant pressures don’t fully equalize. Pressures do equalize in scroll compressors; which, typically do not need hard start kits for this condition. In a reciprocating compressor, the discharge pressure will drop to about 150 psig and the suction pressure will rise only to about 100 psig. When the compressor tries to start, there is too much load for the starting motor torque to overcome. This is especially true if the supply voltage is low. To increase starting torque, a start assist device can be used. When a TXV is used, a potential relay hard start kit is employed. This will increase starting torque by a minimum of 300 % over using just a run capacitor.
