The struts can be used on camper shell, canopy rear window, Leer topper, boat locker, boat storage box, Sky Roof, but please confirm the Interchange Number of your old struts if you use the struts as the replacement, and re-check the length before purchasing to avoid buy wrongly; If you want to install on DIY builds, do measure the lid weight before purchasing, measuring method: use a pole and scale to weigh at the position where you will mount gas struts, usually at the position 20%-30% from the hinge. The struts are very light and only can be used on the lid weigh 15 and 22lbs.
