This camshaft is getting aggressive for a daily driver application. With 10 degrees of overlap it has a fairly aggressive idle, and makes great average power and top end power. Automatic applications will need an aftermarket stall converter

Developed and ground in-house using state of the art BTR designed lobes, the new LS1 Stage 3 V2 cam is the latest offering in the LS1/LS2 line up. This camshaft has an aggressive idle, and works well in the mid to upper rpm range with 18% horsepower gains at peak over the OEM LS2 camshaft. This camshaft will not require any flycutting of pistons with OEM combustion chamber size. If you mill your heads, it is always advised to check piston-to-valve clearance.
