The Robin air 1/4" Heavy-Duty Brass Cap with 3" chain features a split ring that fits neatly over a 1/4" flare fitting to capture flare cap when removed to prevent loss or damage. The extra-long skirting allows for a deep gasket, the shallow "O-ring" type caps can actually depress cores causing leaks when over tightened. The gaskets are also replaceable, see part #40083 for replacements.
