These kits come with an 18 gauge x 1" needle and a syringe that is the same size or larger than the blood collection tube. Due to supply chain issues the brands might vary and the tubes are either plastic OR glass and are labeled as such. Blood tube choices are red top (serum) OR purple top (EDTA, either EDTA2 or EDTA3.) Verify with your lab which tube the sample needs to be drawn into prior to purchase. These are vacuum tubes and the draw volume indicates the amount of blood which will be drawn into the tube by the vacuum, do not overfill or underfill purple top tubes.
