About 3M Scotch-Brite DF-BL Non-Woven Aluminum Oxide
This product is engineered to perform tough detail work such as deburring, blending, and finishing, on a variety of metals. The reinforced, low-stretch backing and superior edge durability aid in supplying an aggressive cutting ability. The non-woven fiber material runs cool, resists loading, and holds up to edge work. The aluminum oxide abrasives provide effective cutting action that produces consistent finishing performance over the life of the belt. Belt sanders are used for rapid grinding, sanding and finishing on a variety of surfaces. Depending on the material being worked, sanding wheels and discs may clog, quickly making them less efficient, while belt sanders continue to sand without clogging because small grooves in the abrasive belt open as they go around the arc of the drive wheel. All Durable Flex belts can be distinguished by their purple backing.
