The design of our axe is based on maximum splitting power. On all axes the wood is split the blade of the axe but since the blades on axes are so thin the axe gets stuck in the wood consistently. The levers are activated by the force of the axe moving downward and when striking the wood the levers activate. This results in explosive wood splitting.
