Nipple for connecting two threaded pipes
Male NPT threads for connecting to a female NPT threaded pipe
Precision molded in sterilizable polypropylene for dimensional stability and reinforced with fiberglass for added durability, strength, and chemical resistance
Handles pressures up to 150 psi at 70 degrees F
Schedule 80 polypropylene for a thicker wall than schedule 40
This Banjo NIP050-SH nipple is a close length schedule 80 polypropylene pipe fitting with 1/2" male NPT threads. The nipple fitting is a short length of pipe with threaded ends for connecting two threaded pipes. It has male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads for connecting to female NPT threaded pipes, creating a tighter seal than straight threads. This fitting is precision molded in polypropylene, which resists most chemicals, has excellent dimensional stability, and is sterilizable. In addition, it is reinforced with fiberglass for added durability, strength, and chemical resistance. The fitting is suitable for handling pressures up to 150 pounds per square inch (psi) at 70 degrees F. This schedule 80 (thick wall) fitting is suitable for higher pressure than a schedule 40 fitting. This fitting is suitable for use in a wide variety of liquid handling applications including, but not limited to, fertilizers, industrial chemicals, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and water treatment. Pipe fittings are components used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in many different industries. When purchasing pipe fittings, consider the application, as this will affect material type, shape, size, and required durability. Fittings are available threaded or unthreaded, in many shapes, styles, sizes, and schedules (pipe wall thickness). Banjo manufactures valves, couplings, pumps, pipe and hose fittings, and other fluid handling products for industrial applications. The company, founded in 1995, is headquartered in Crawfordsville, IN.
