This is a 8-feet UL Listed flexible metal (semi-rigid) transition duct attached to one Close Elbow. The original Close Elbow by Builder's Best is designed to make 90˚ turns within 4″.

About Builder's Best 84018 SAF-T Metal Single Elbow Dryer
This 84018 Single Elbow Kit is a UL 2158A Approved dryer transition duct. It is made out of 100% aluminum and thus is also recommended by clothes dryer manufacturers. The kit includes: one 8 foot UL 2158A Approved 100% aluminum flexible semi-rigid dryer vent duct, one aluminum Close Elbow, and two steel screw clamps. The UL Approved flexible pipe has one crimped (male) fitting which fits into most wall pipes. The Close Elbow maintains a 4. 5 inch 90 degree turn and features swiveling fittings which help you direct the airflow. The clamps are designed to resist stretching and are used to secure dryer and wall connections. This kit will take 4. 5 inches to 6 inches of clearance behind the dryer. The International Mechanical Code (IMC 504. 6. 3) recommends UL 2158A listed and labeled transition ducts. The International Residential Code (IRC M1502. 4. 3) recommends UL 2158A listed and labeled transition ducts. Clothes dryer manufacturers specify "Only rigid or flexible metal vent shall be used for exhausting. Do not use plastic or metal foil vent. " A typical laundry room uses approximately 8 feet of duct.
