The heating element assembly is made of high-quality metal, this heating element is 5400 watts and 240 volts. This heating element has 5/16" terminal ends. The heating element generates the heat for drying the clothes. Package includes: 1 x 3387747 Dryer Heating Element Fixes Symptoms: No heat or not enough heat Takes too long to dry Too hot Will Not Start Simple To Install:Disconnect the dryer power before installing this part. Wear work gloves to protect your hands.1. Remove the bottom panel from the front of the appliance - 1/4" hex nutdriver 2. Remove the 5/16" screw holding the bracket for the heating element tube to the base of the appliance 3. Remove another 1/4" hex screw on the support bracket attached to the tube and remove the bracket 4. Unplug the two wires that provide power to the side of the heating element 5. Twist the tube a bit until it comes free from the back side of the appliance 6. Use the 1/4" nutdriver to remove the screw that holds the heating element inside the tube. 6.
