As you move the 10598 forward, the disks rotate in opposing directions, feeding the material through and shearing it without the use of a conventional blade. The result is a precise, even cut and a much safer option than an open blade. For a completely straight cut, the 10598 tool works well held against a ruler or other straight guiding surface. These rotary scissors are ambidextrous; that is, designed for both right-handed and left-handed use. With a comfortable soft-touch grip and ergonomic design, these bladeless scissors cut down on the repetitive strain associated with traditional scissor use. The 10598 design takes the open-and-close hand actions out of cutting, making it a great tool for people with arthritis or difficulty with fine motor movements.
