Product Description This cool gray 30 mil fire-retardant tape is designed to protect adjacent cable until limiting devices can interrupt faulted current. Packed 1 roll per bag with 10 per case. 1 1/2" x 20` From the Manufacturer Scotch® Fire-Retardant Electric Arc Proofing Tape 77 White protects electrical cables from damage due to arcs and fire. The tape insulates adjacent wrapped cables and accessories when exposed to fault arcs, helping prevent damage until limiting devices can interrupt the faulted circuit. The tape also comes with an elastomer, a substance that expands in case of fire. The elastomer creates a barrier between the flame and cable to act as a heat shield. Noted for ease of application, this arc proof and fire-retardant protection tape conforms to cables and many irregularly shaped accessories for uniform coverage. Tape may be removed for cable inspection. Common corrosive elements such as ultraviolet light, water, saltwater, acid and sewage will not adversely affect the protective qualities of the tape. Scotch® Fire Retardant Electric Arc Proofing Tape 77 White is a white-gray flame-resistant, self-extinguishing tape that fully meets the ASTM D1000 rating for protecting cables and accessories from fault arc generated heat and fire. Its thin 30-mil thick profile saves space, allowing cable heat to dissipate more rapidly. Tape is non-corrosive to metallic cable sheaths and is fully compatible with synthetic cable jackets. Made with exceptional flexibility, Tape 77 White can be wrapped snugly over electrical lines and components for excellent conformance. Tape maintains its arc proofing properties for the life of the cable.
