This is the extension cable that the hand control plugs into on one end, and the other end plugs into the control box. These cables have a tendency to either go bad all by themselves, or oftentimes they end up being cut by the chair scissor mechanism. TECHNICAL TIP: If your cord is damaged, it is obvious you would need a new one. However, if you think the cord may have a short in it, etc, then for test purposes, just eliminate the cord from the chair, and plug your hand control directly in the cord from the control box and see if the chair works now.
