It is a light wheel and is a convenient accessory for a small wheelchair that's easy to install and use on almost any fixed footrest or folding wheelchair. This low weight third wheel for ultralight wheelchairs uses a patented fastener for fast and secure attachment. Simply attach to the front and you have a portable wheelchair solution, making it a practical choice for those who feel limited by their current chair, but don't want to replace it or spend lots of money. The ultra compact wheel option creates a transport wheelchair and includes all pieces necessary to attach it to virtually all makes and models of folding or rigid wheelchairs. The compact kit has been updated over the years so both men and women can attach it, and in most cases not need to purchase any additional supplies. There are also replacement parts available. These wheels make great gifts for people in wheelchairs, and greatly improve independence. The wheel weighs about 6 pounds. It works with all wheelchairs including transporter wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs and folding chairs. Check compatibility with wheelchair model before purchase. Rigid Tilite wheelchairs will need to install the included P102 clamp kit and Folding wheelchairs will need a separate folding adaptor (not included).
