The powerful, 1 ¾ HP motor has a built-in thermal protection to prevent overheating, but also has a 10-minute duty cycle and its gears are constructed of 45-lb. steel for amazing strength that you can count on. In addition, the motor has a metal cover that protects the motor. This Electric Hoist has a compact design and weighs only 38 lbs so that you can take it to where the job is. The dual capacities make this hoist even more versatile as this hoist can be fitted with a double line to increase the weight capacity. With a single line the capacity of this unit is 550 lbs, but a double line gives this unit a greater capacity of 1100 lbs! The 39 ft cable, that lifts to 36 ft (single line) and 18 ft (double line), is long and durable enough to aid you with a wide variety of lifting tasks. The hand-held control even has a long cord of 5 ft long to ensure that the operator is a safe distance from the lifting process. While the hoist does require power to operate, it holds the load, wherever the load may be, without needing power, adding yet another safety feature to this Electric Hoist.
